Mid Holiday Retrospection

Really, after week1 , i was like looking at one of the best holidays i could have had, ever. Week 1 was well spent on weiqi. And then i rest for a day or 2 and then set up this hw clearing plan... which i didn't see through. Oh no. But nvm, here i'm to rescue it.

But firstly some issues to get off my chest. Quite sensitive actually, its about conversion of religion. U know, its an issue that actually contributed to 1 of my aunt getting pissed off with another. there're other stuff of cuz, but then again, no washing of dirty linen in public by me here.

Here's what i think: Change of religion is a personal decision, meaning you have 100% authority to decide your religion for yourself, as is what is meant by religious freedom. The process of change, ideally, should be a well thought out one, aware of both what ur current religion is all about, and what the religion you are going to switch into is all about. Then be aware why are you making this switch. Yeah. Some ppl convert out of neccessity; certain religions require their spouses to be of the same religion. Thats a practical reason to convert. Then there is the idealistic one, like "i believe in abc, whereas my religion believess in xyz, so i'm gonna change into this religion which believes in abc as well" which i think is a brave choice. I'd admire such ppl who have the courage and conviction to make the change. What i cannot agree with though, it making the switch as a stop-gap measure. It certainly will be a life-changing decision, but i can't see how good it is to put it at focal point. Call me old-fashioned, but Get real. If you want your life to improve, you have to work at it. Change of religion may or may not help, i can't tell you for sure. But you must be emotionally and mentally strong as well. If you grab something as a crutch, then make sure after hobbling around for a while, you can stand up again.

Then after making this personal decision, you must realise that one's religion affects others as well. Your siblings, for starters. And the previous religion you have had, those idols you pray to, they ought to be disposed off in a respectable manner. Yeah. If you feel that after you decided to change, you cannot go ahead and tell your siblings of the change, then perhaps you do not feel justified enough in making the change.

Alright alright, enough ranting off by me. Just had to get it off my chest. And it sure took a long time just to write those 2 paragraphs. Now back to the secular stuff:

Hw left:
1)Reading of 传统企业 + Book Review
2)Essay Writing Exercise using The Great Strategy
“Is terrorism Ever justifiable”
3)SS Mini Documentary
4)English Biography Project + Trailer
5)Chemistry creative assignment
6)Lit CRP
7)English Portfolio
8)tuition physics hw

Today's wednesday. Fri i have lesson with phillip so it'll take up most of the day. So lets leave it as an off day. Wkn is tournament but its only from morn- somewhere in the afternoon so its alright. Ok so here's the plan:

Today i'll clear the 1) which includes both reading and doing review cuz i dun wanna drag no further. Tmrw i'll head to the gym in the morn, then come back and finish the 2)English essay, 3) select a topic for ss and complete my 5)chemistry hw.

I think thats a decent amt of work to finish in two days, yeah. Then if i can't finish them whatever time i have on fri i'll complete them. And if i manage to keep to the schedule, we can talk about the rest again =)
