Some chase their dreams; I better not be chasing dust

After 3 days of orientation, ought to be like blogging abt it but hey that can wait.

Oh gee i just read on jingna's blog that : "hansiong plans to study baduk at korea university...."

!!!

As what? An undergrad or insei? To get what? A Bachelor of Weiqi or a Professional 1dan cert?

geee HS faster reply me sms!

Ok while waiting might as well talk abt orientation. Its REALLY different from sec sch one. Not that i expected it to be the same. But then again, you don't really feel the difference until you feel the difference.

First day was good. Get to know ppl and all. Ya lah. What else do u do during orientation lol.

2nd day onwards starting to feel out of sorts heh. I dunno why, maybe its the sore throat. But its probably more than that, since i (uncharacteristically, of course, or i'd be dead by now) added the wrong weights when i did bench press and ended up doing a set with unequal weights on each side! lucky the difference was only 1.25kg, or i'll be blogging from hospital =/

Had ki test as well. Sure get in lah. I like the teachers, feels like the kenneth low- mr yip type, philo teachers typical heh. I'll enjoy KI :D

3rd day went to civics class. Teacher's not bad, pretty funny. And 'll train my ears to listen to proper english heh, since he's ang moh and all. Oh the class has like more than 2x the number of girls compared to guys. Nothing wrong with that of cuz, just feels strange, since like, from all boys ---> mostly girls isn't exactly my idea of a smooth transition.

Just stoning further more after that. Just very tired. I got a feelings it could be the diet, cuz i'm really not used to having 3meals a day, spaced so far apart. Or maybe these are just excuses for my not wanting to talk. No idea, there's only 1 day of Orientation left anyway.

Woke up at 8 today, ate, read the papers, da pu for a while then decided to head back to sleep. My eyelids sure felt heavy. Then did sihuo after lunch and da pu. Xtra motivation today, cuz

1) I finally finished all the 1* questions in guanzipu marked thus far :)
2)There's a chance that i can play in the tourney against Japanese Association. More on that if i DO actually make the team.

oh HS finally replied. He's going to study weiqi in order to teach it in the future. IE, be an undergrad. Hahah don't worry hs if u improve lotsa u can go on to study for pro exams thereafter! surely they have provisions for foreign players?

gogogo!!

Hahahaha. Its a nice idea persuing a passion.

But will it make a good career?

I've got no idea.
